About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand business and functional requirements
- Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Validate new features and enhancements
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects
- Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
- Perform retesting and regression testing after fixes
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts
- Execute automation suites and analyze results
- Improve test coverage through automation
- Participate in requirement and design reviews
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing processes
- Identify risks and provide quality recommendations
- Prepare test plans, test cases, and test reports
- Document testing results and defect summaries
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives
- Support User Acceptance Testing activities
- Perform basic API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Support performance, security, and usability testing initiatives
- Validate application compatibility across browsers and devices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's/Master's in Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright
- API testing using Postman or similar tools
- SQL/database validation
- AWS cloud testing
- AI/GenAI/LLM testing
- AI-assisted test design
- Performance/load testing with JMeter
- Data pipeline validation
- Microservices integration testing, including CI/CD integration, resilience, and edge-case testing
- Test strategy and documentation
- Regulated/BFSI domain experience
