About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide production support for multiple ETL workflows and applications, including configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of minor issues
- Handle manual ETL processes, such as manual file loads and reruns
- Create new shell scripts and modify existing scripts to support workflow changes and business requirements
- Participate in the development of new features for existing applications
- Develop new applications and internal ETL tools for business users using Python
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3-6 years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps
- Solid knowledge of the Linux operating system
- Good working knowledge of commonly used Linux utilities
- Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot Linux shell scripts
- Basic understanding of SFTP, HTTP, and HTTPS
- Experience troubleshooting software and production process issues
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools such as cron
- Experience working with log files and identifying root causes of failures
- Basic understanding of file transfer, automation, and ETL processes
- Advanced certifications in cloud or DevOps are a plus
- Python programming skills are a plus
