About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure end-to-end operations management for statutory financial reporting, capital and solvency reporting, disclosures and surveys
  • Partner in setting the team’s strategic direction and assist in the overall running of team operations
  • Own processes, reports, procedures or products as a subject matter expert
  • Review critical capital and solvency schedules, economic balance sheet and notes to accounts before submission to the onshore team
  • Provide subject matter expertise and perform end-to-end review of work performed
  • Establish controls, streamline processes and develop domain knowledge of offshore staff
  • Lead and develop staff
  • Liaise with multiple departments and input providers during close to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Collaborate on special projects
  • Support quarterly and annual audits by internal and independent external auditors
  • Participate in or lead special projects, initiatives, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests
  • Understand and anticipate clients’ business needs and proactively resolve concerns
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and enhance controls
  • Ensure adequacy of internal controls over statutory reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post Graduate/CA/CFA/MBA etc
  • Insurance accounting regulatory reporting experience preferred
  • Sound understanding of US/UK GAAP Reporting and BSCR reporting
  • Experience with Workiva, Oracle and Essbase/HFM reporting software applications
  • Experience with statutory financial reporting, capital and solvency reporting, disclosures and surveys
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Microsoft Power BI proficiency
  • SQL programming
  • Tableau proficiency
