About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, execute, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-quality automation scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Java, Python, and pytest
Design and maintain automation frameworks for UI, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
Automate processes involving Excel, text files, and Access databases using Apache POI or other libraries and JDBC/ODBC connections
Integrate desktop application workflows into Selenium test scripts for end-to-end automation coverage
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align test cases with business objectives
Design and execute Pytest test cases using fixtures, parameterization, markers, and reusable test components
Implement and maintain BDD automation using Cucumber where applicable
Debug and troubleshoot automation and application-under-test issues
Continuously optimize test automation frameworks and processes
Use Qtest for test case creation, test execution, test cycle management, defect tracking, and test reporting
Maintain clear and concise test documentation and reports
Stay current with automation trends, tools, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Selenium/Playwright Automation Engineer
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright using Java/Python for web-based automation
Experience with pytest for test development, execution, and automation framework implementation
Proficiency automating Excel, text files, and Access Database processes
Experience reading/writing text files using Apache POI or similar libraries
Experience integrating with .accdb files using Java or suitable tools
Strong command of Java, Python, and their ecosystems, including test automation libraries and frameworks
Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for queries, data validation, and backend testing
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with Git
Experience with Qtest, Azure DevOps Boards, Selenium, Playwright, Pytest, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, Allure Report, and Jenkins CI/CD
Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Bachelor's degree
