About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure through Terraform IaC
- Optimize and improve AWS performance, scalability, and availability
- Support user SQL queries and issues
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with data governance policies
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand business requirements and optimize data models
- Develop and maintain documentation of AWS architecture, processes, and procedure
- Partner with data engineers on query design during projects and while performing analytics, and analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize application and ad-hoc queries in production
- Design and configure IAM policies for interoperability between S3, Redshift and Glue Catalog, EMR, and other services
- Manage AWS VPCs, security groups, and subnets
- Provide operational management for Data Warehouse in AWS across all environments, including configuration, maintenance, code migration, and incident response
- Partner with analysts and business partners on data extracts as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with other AWS services like EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM
- Expertise in handling complex large-scale Warehouse environments
- Knowledge of data governance and quality processes
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Minimum 3 years of extensive experience and exposure of platform engineering on AWS cloud environments
