About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI and Tableau
Build and optimize Power BI semantic models and Tableau data sources for business reporting and analytics
Develop advanced DAX measures and Power Query transformations for data preparation and analysis
Troubleshoot data model, report performance, and data quality issues
Design and maintain dimensional data models, including fact and dimension tables
Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and performance improvement opportunities
Develop KPI frameworks, metric definitions, and executive reporting dashboards
Create visualizations and data stories supporting business decision-making
Support self-service analytics by creating reusable datasets and governed reporting assets
Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data is accurate, complete, and analytics-ready
Participate in BI deployments, report migrations, and environment management activities
Document BI solutions, data models, reporting processes, and business definitions

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analytics, or a related role
Strong experience developing reports, dashboards, and scorecards in Power BI
Hands-on experience with data modeling, relationships, star schemas, and semantic models
Proficiency in DAX, including calculated measures, time intelligence, and performance optimization
Experience with Power Query (M) for data transformation and preparation
Knowledge of Power BI Service features, including workspaces, deployment pipelines, Row-Level Security (RLS), and scheduled refreshes
Experience implementing self-service reporting solutions and reusable datasets
Experience building interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau
Understanding of Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud and published data sources
Ability to optimize dashboard performance and user experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, Power Pivot, Power Query, advanced formulas, and functions
Experience with data reconciliation, validation, trend analysis, variance analysis, root-cause analysis, and ad-hoc reporting
Expertise in data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles
Experience translating business requirements into actionable insights and analytics solutions
Knowledge of data profiling, data quality assessment, and data validation techniques
Strong understanding of storytelling with data and executive-level reporting
Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, including fact and dimension design
Experience with enterprise data warehouses and analytics data marts
Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data integration processes
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred
Experience with Snowflake and cloud-based analytics platforms is good to have
Exposure to Sigma Computing or other self-service analytics tools is good to have
Knowledge of insurance domain concepts is good to have
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira is good to have
Experience working in large-scale enterprise reporting and analytics environments is good to have
