About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a subject matter expert in insurance data, analytics, and AI, providing strategic and tactical advisory support to senior business leaders
- Partner with clients to define and deliver data and AI roadmaps, including transformation initiatives, target operating models, and execution priorities
- Lead client discovery and working sessions to understand business needs, diagnose gaps, and recommend scalable, value-driven data solutions
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal EXL teams to build relationships, identify growth opportunities, and expand engagements
- Develop business proposals, solution architectures, and RFP responses with SMEs, technologists, and strategic alliance partners
- Own end-to-end project, client, and team management, ensuring timely delivery, issue resolution, and quality standards
- Provide technical guidance across AI, data management, analytics, visualization, automation, and data science initiatives across the insurance value chain
- Ensure industry best practices, DataOps standards, and cloud-based data solutions are applied across engagements
- Drive continuous improvement through problem diagnosis, process optimization, and innovative solution design
- Foster a learning culture within the team, encouraging innovation, research, and adoption of emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from top-tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
- 10+ years of data and analytics consulting experience from a professional or management firm, with a strong focus on the insurance industry
- Experience working in dual-shore engagements
- Experience managing large programs, including an Insurance Analytics CoE, and multiple clients directly
- Demonstrated experience across the analytics value chain, including data, AI, automation, predictive modeling, business consulting, and delivery assignments
- Experience with competitor analysis and ad-hoc data analysis
- Application of first-principles thinking to solve business problems
- Complete understanding and demonstrated experience of AWS cloud services, modern data architecture, governance, and emerging AI practices
- Strong grasp of the latest tools in the market
- Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment and take on challenging assignments
