About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and drive end-to-end projects focused on analytical applications and data solutions
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and manage project deliverables
Design, deploy, and integrate AI/ML solutions using Generative AI frameworks such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, and Google Vertex AI
Manage cross-functional collaboration with Business Data Analysts to align data engineering and business goals
Own release planning, change management, and stakeholder engagement
Ensure adherence to Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery timelines
Build scalable data engineering frameworks and foundational services
Implement data integration, data quality validation, pipeline orchestration, security, and compliance practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's in engineering or related field
Proven experience building scalable data engineering frameworks and foundational services for enterprise-wide analytics initiatives
Hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Spark, and AWS Glue
Knowledge of event-driven architectures and streaming data solutions
Strong leadership experience managing teams and delivering complex projects in Agile environments
Experience leading teams of more than 20 members
Proficiency integrating Generative AI solutions into existing platforms and workflows
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Expertise in modular, scalable, reusable frameworks for data integration, data quality validation, and pipeline orchestration
Hands-on experience with LLMs, Agentic AI, and APIs from OpenAI, Hugging Face, and AWS AI services
Strong background in SQL, DBT, PySpark, query optimization, CDC, and data transformation
Extensive experience with AWS Glue, EMR, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Azure Data Factory, and cloud-native architectures
Expertise in event-driven and microservices-based architectures using Java, Python, and modern frameworks
Proficiency with Jenkins, GitLab, and Terraform for CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code automation
Proven experience managing Big Data platforms and large-scale data ingestion, storage, and processing
Knowledge of OWASP guidelines, RBAC, and vulnerability detection/remediation
