About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact and interact with Director- and Senior Director-level stakeholders
Ensure client needs are understood, defined, and met
Interface between senior client management and EXL senior leadership, including VPs and SVPs
Translate client objectives, priorities, and challenges into actionable delivery plans
Own project execution and ensure timely delivery and achievement of project goals
Lead data infrastructure and data engineering by overseeing development, customization, and management of data integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems
Review solution approaches for alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives
Improve team technical competencies and establish engineering excellence practices
Partner with client engineering teams to understand data needs and create tools and automation that derive value from data
Act as the escalation point for delivery, operational, and stakeholder-related issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
8+ years of experience developing data systems at scale, including data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, ETL, and analytic solutions
Experience leading data migration or cloud transformation engagements
Experience with and understanding of Databricks and Azure Data Platform
5+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
Knowledge of market trends including cloud technology
Experience managing projects involving cloud data platforms, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics solutions, and reporting ecosystems
Demonstrable leadership ability, superior problem-solving, and people management skills
Excellent listening, written communication, and presentation skills
