About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate end-to-end Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Scrum principles, Agile mindset, and servant leadership to drive self-organization and accountability
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog, including prioritization, story readiness, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Ready/Done
- Remove impediments and manage risks/issues; drive dependency management across teams and functions
- Enable predictable delivery through capacity planning, sprint forecasting, release planning, and transparent reporting
- Track and improve performance using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down/burn-up, cycle time, lead time, throughput, and WIP
- Improve team execution and quality by reinforcing engineering practices, testing discipline, and CI/CD collaboration
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment across Engineering, QA, UX, DevOps, Data, and business users
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, root cause analysis, and experimentation
- Support Agile-at-scale practices such as Scrum of Scrums and cross-team planning when applicable
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and contribute to internal Agile communities of practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead supporting technology delivery teams
- Strong hands-on facilitation experience in Scrum and working knowledge of Kanban/Lean practices
- Proven ability to coach teams through change and improve delivery predictability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps, including boards, dashboards, and reports
- Strong understanding of user stories, estimation, refinement, release planning, and value-based prioritization
- Knowledge of cycle time, lead time, WIP limits, throughput, and flow-based execution
- Experience working with distributed teams and senior stakeholders in enterprise environments
- Ability to handle conflict, facilitate difficult conversations, and influence without authority
- Comfortable constructively challenging peers and leadership while remaining outcomes-focused
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer centricity
- Preferred: CSM / PSM I/II certifications; SAFe SSM/SA certifications are a plus
- Preferred: Financial Services / Capital Markets experience
- Preferred: experience supporting data, platform, or engineering teams, including DevOps, CI/CD, data engineering, or cloud delivery
- Preferred: exposure to scaled delivery models and portfolio/program governance
