About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs clinical validation audits and interpretation of medical documentation to ensure capture of all relevant coding
- Follows every aspect of SOP without fail
- Completes received audits with quality
- Achieves quality and production targets
- Follows project-related protocols and instructions
- Escalates issues and identifies trends
- Updates productivity, clarification, and other applicable logs daily
- Checks with Manager/TL regarding clarifications
- Answers all emails from Manager promptly
- Ensures team compliance with HIPAA and OIG requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Nursing
- NCLEX certification – Active (USRN)
- All certifications/License should be active
- Life science/Paramedical Degree
- CPC/CPMA
- USRN + CPC+ 3 years' experience in multi-specialty surgery coding including IVR, General surgery, Infusion and Injection and Radiation oncology
- Experience in auditing and denial management is optional
- Able to apply analytical and critical thinking to record reviews
- Required comprehensive clinical knowledge and strong clinical experience
- Computer skill sets
- Strong written (documentation) and oral communication skills
- High Speed internet connection at home, must be broadband
- Must understand and adhere with telecommuter policy
