About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain, optimize, and evolve the visibility stack, including VictoriaMetrics vmagent and Mimir
  • Design a scalable platform
  • Participate in automation and orchestration efforts to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention
  • Improve processes to ensure scalability, reliability, and high availability of infrastructure
  • Join the on-call rotation after completing a training period
  • Help maintain database platforms including MariaDB, Cassandra, FoundationDB, and ClickHouse
  • Design, develop, and maintain Exoscale’s visibility platform
  • Participate in improving Exoscale products as a user of the platform

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient with Mimir/Prometheus and VictoriaMetrics vmagent (or equivalent)
  • Experienced with Linux and have a deep understanding of systems administration
  • Experienced with Kubernetes and deployment of applications
  • Proficient in Go programming language and understands distributed systems principles
  • Knowledgeable with MariaDB, Kafka, Cassandra, FoundationDB or ClickHouse
  • Skilled in configuration management and managing large-scale infrastructure
  • Passionate about automation and optimizing workflows to reduce manual effort
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work in a distributed team environment
  • Curious, autonomous, and eager to learn new technologies
  • Willingness to join the on-call rotation after completing a training period
