Run open-ended research projects using the internet as the primary tool, covering markets, products, companies, funding activity, competitive landscapes, people, technologies, and regulation
Turn messy findings into matrices, comparison tables, briefs, landscape maps, and one-pagers
Develop informed points of view, identify what matters and what is uncertain, and recommend next steps
Use AI tools to accelerate and broaden research
Build lightweight tools, scrapers, or trackers when needed
Juggle several unrelated requests and reprioritize as priorities change
Work directly with a highly accomplished leader and team

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–5 years of experience
Bachelor's degree
Sharp, curious, and able to reason through unfamiliar questions
Experience using AI tools such as Claude, Cowork, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Hugging Face
Ideally able to vibe code working scripts or prototypes without waiting on an engineer
Comfortable working with ambiguity
Self-directed and coachable
Startup-minded
Strong writing skills
Can be remote in the US with significant travel to Los Angeles
