About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide internal partners with support on regulatory compliance requirements and consumer credit services issues
  • Perform gap assessments of business unit and functional-area procedural documents against Global Policies
  • Work with business lines on action plans addressing control breakdowns and track timely remediation of regulatory issues and process improvements
  • Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, Governmental Affairs, and business teams to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
  • Maintain understanding of business-line operating processes, strategies, products, and services
  • Participate as a subject-matter expert in regulatory exams by collecting and analyzing requested data, documents, and information
  • Work with the Regulatory Exam Manager on ad hoc regulatory requests within specified SLAs
  • Help prepare and present materials for regulatory meetings
  • Build productive relationships and use persuasion and influence to achieve targeted results
  • Report to the Compliance Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years' experience in regulatory risk and compliance/audit processes
  • Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and regulations, including FCRA, FACTA, and GLBA, preferably from a consumer reporting agency perspective
  • Working knowledge of applicable privacy and consumer laws and regulations
  • Ability to understand complex business issues and develop practical resolving strategies
  • Comfortable working independently and in team settings
  • Strong research, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to ask the right questions and make connections
