About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead end-to-end business analysis activities within an assigned AI Programme workstream from discovery and requirements elicitation through design, delivery, testing and implementation
Engage stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business needs, objectives, problems, constraints and expected outcomes
Facilitate workshops, interviews and elicitation activities
Document, analyse, validate and manage requirements, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria
Translate business, policy, regulatory and governance requirements into actionable process, technology and control requirements
Maintain requirements traceability and support prioritisation, refinement, change control and validation
Analyse and document As-Is processes and develop To-Be models incorporating AI-enabled capabilities
Define AI-agent triggers, decision points, permitted actions, dependencies, exception handling and system interactions
Distinguish automated tasks from those requiring human review or approval
Define human-in-the-loop requirements, escalation paths, override mechanisms and safe fallback processes
Define acceptance criteria and validation scenarios for AI-enabled capabilities
Identify AI-related risks, harms and unintended consequences and define mitigations and controls
Support requirements for transparency, explainability, accountability, traceability, fairness and human oversight
Collaborate with business, product, technology, data, risk, compliance and delivery teams
Identify, document and escalate risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions
Support backlog refinement, solution walkthroughs, test planning, user acceptance testing and implementation readiness
Validate delivered outcomes against requirements and acceptance criteria
Maintain analysis artefacts and communicate progress, findings, recommendations and outstanding decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of Business Analysis
Proven ability to elicit, analyse, document, validate and manage business requirements, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria
Strong facilitation skills and ability to develop As-Is and To-Be process models
Strong business acumen and ability to understand unfamiliar business domains, policies, processes and operating models
Ability to translate policies, standards and business rules into implementable requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in uncertain or evolving environments and manage competing priorities
Understanding of AI agents, agent orchestration, tool use, workflow automation and interaction between AI systems, processes and human users
Understanding of responsible AI, AI governance, risk management and assurance
Familiarity with Agile product delivery, backlog management, iterative development and collaborative testing
Experience in complex, regulated environments and engagement with senior stakeholders
Experience in financial services, regulatory organisations or other highly governed environments
Experience translating business needs into functional outcomes
Experience managing risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and change impacts
Experience supporting solution design, testing, acceptance and implementation
Experience defining requirements for AI-enabled business solutions
Practical experience supporting Agentic AI solutions and autonomous or semi-autonomous workflows
Experience defining human-in-the-loop controls, decision thresholds, escalation routes, override mechanisms, exception handling and validation points
Experience with AI transparency, explainability, fairness, bias mitigation or assessment of potential harms
Experience in business architecture, business design, service design, operating model change or service transition
Experience working with product managers, technology teams, data specialists and multidisciplinary delivery teams
Substantial Business Analysis experience across the end-to-end project lifecycle
Relevant Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA certification would be beneficial
