About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and support management reporting systems, with data sourced from DB2 Mainframe and a reporting layer in Oracle.
  • Develop and maintain management indicators, reports, and queries using SQL and PL/SQL directly on the Oracle database.
  • Monitor and ensure the execution of overnight batch processes, ensuring process completion and the availability of management information.
  • Manage and monitor the scheduling and execution of batch processes, including JCL and tools such as Control-M or equivalent.
  • Analyze and resolve technical incidents related to data processing, batch operations, and information availability.
  • Support information consolidation and reconciliation processes, ensuring data consistency and quality.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience with DB2 Mainframe, including SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
  • Strong experience with Oracle and PL/SQL, particularly in building and maintaining reporting layers directly in the database.
  • Experience building management indicators, reports, and queries.
  • Experience with high-volume batch data processing.
  • Knowledge of JCL and batch scheduling and monitoring tools, such as Control-M or equivalent.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving incidents associated with batch processes and reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of information consolidation and reconciliation.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration between DB2 Mainframe and Oracle.
  • Knowledge of tools supporting Mainframe environments, particularly File-AID and Endevor/Changeman.
  • Knowledge of data modeling.
  • Knowledge of management reporting and business indicators in the banking sector.
  • Understanding of consolidation and reconciliation workflows and the dependencies of overnight batch processes.
  • Knowledge of the impact of batch processes on period-end closing and the availability of management information.
