About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own exterior, interior, and chassis system/part geometrical technical specifications and conformance from initial design through launch
  • Provide aesthetical and functional requirements for sourcing
  • Converge function, assembly, and manufacturing process requirements
  • Define and ensure datum schemes
  • Capture aesthetical and functional requirements in drawings, including critical functional characteristics in CAD tools or Excel
  • Converge GD&T with suppliers to meet gap, flush, and functional requirements
  • Review and approve supplier GD&T reports
  • Converge supplier part inspection plans with Stellantis requirements and commitments
  • Perform and validate RSS/VSA stack-up studies and provide recommendations
  • Propose and converge designs or tolerances to meet gap, flush, and functional requirements
  • Define measurement roadmaps and review supplier part inspection plans
  • Review gauge design concepts and approve them
  • Ensure design practices are followed
  • Analyze measurement data
  • Sign off tooling, tolerance concession agreements, and PPAP approvals
  • Support vehicle builds and plant issues and provide solutions
  • Document lessons learned and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BE (or) Equivalent
  • 6–9 years of experience
  • Hands-on experience with exterior and interior trim parts for datum and tolerances
  • Hands-on experience with ASME / ISO GD&T standards
  • Hands-on experience with NX or CATIA CAD tools
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter or PLM applications
  • Hands-on experience with RSS stack-up studies
  • Knowledge of 3DCS or Vis VSA is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of gauge and fixture concept design
  • Knowledge of CMM measurement
  • Knowledge of part measuring methods
  • Knowledge of plastic parts and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of statistical process control and measurement data analysis
  • Knowledge of product development processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Good convergence skills
  • Hands-on experience with launch processes
  • Knowledge of issue resolution
  • Knowledge of GD&T, gap and flush, problem solving, escalation processes, plastics and metal parts, manufacturing processes, vehicle exterior/interior systems, stack-up analysis, part inspection methods, gauge concepts, supplier part conformance, checking fixtures, PLM/Teamcenter, launch experience, project management, and presentation
