About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to required standards
- Complete design deliverables accurately and on time
- Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during design phases to ensure coordination and functionality
- Provide technical support during construction and installation phases
- Perform self-verification of work
- Report technical progress and issues to line management
- Implement safety, health, and environmental requirements
- Assist with maintaining and improving output quality standards

Requirements
What you’ll need- Required to hold an NC/HNC or an equivalent qualification / experience in a relatable discipline subject
- Readiness to grow and develop technical and behavioural competence
- Ability to work collaboratively with a continuous improvement approach
- Understanding of one or more parametric/spec-driven CAD systems in 3D and 2D environments
- Proficiency in one or more parametric/spec-driven CAD systems in 3D and 2D environments
- Familiarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices
- Ideally, post-graduate experience in the naval maritime domain or another highly regulated industry
- Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline or relevant industry experience
