About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the development, customization, and continuous operation of test benches
- Provide validation teams with reliable, standardized, and project-specific testing environments
- Participate in the development of system and inter-system test benches, including hardware and software adaptations
- Customize test benches according to project-specific requirements
- Define and promote standards for test bench architecture, components, documentation, and best practices
- Perform installation, commissioning, dismantling, and relocation of test benches at customer sites
- Maintain test benches through preventive and corrective maintenance
- Maintain test equipment, electronic hardware, software tools, and power supply systems
- Support applications associated with validation and testing assets
- Provide technical support to teams using test benches and testing platforms
- Manage consumables, spare parts, and electronic component inventories
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
- Experience in the automotive industry, ideally involving test bench development and integration
- Experience in building, wiring, and troubleshooting electronic systems and test benches
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with laboratory and measurement equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies)
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet communication protocols
- Experience installing and configuring software and engineering tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
- Detail-oriented, organized, and quality-focused mindset
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, including customer interaction
- Availability to travel for customer support and on-site activities
- Familiarity with Vector tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer, VN hardware)
- Previous experience with automotive test bench creation, validation, or maintenance activities
- Exposure to customer-facing engineering environments and on-site commissioning/support activities
