About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain Java backend applications
Design and integrate REST APIs and backend services
Work with Kafka and Flink for distributed data processing
Participate in technical design, code reviews and automated testing
Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams to deliver reliable solutions
Support production issues and continuous improvement
Provide technical leadership in complex enterprise environments
Apply CI/CD practices and resolve technical issues in production applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of relevant software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java / Java 8
Strong knowledge of Spring 4 and Spring Boot
Experience with REST APIs, Kafka and Flink
Good knowledge of SQL and database integration
Experience with Maven, Jenkins and Git
Hands-on experience with JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkin and WireMock
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Dutch, French and English (Trilingual)
National travel required
