About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define project quality expectations
- Draft and maintain program-specific quality plans (Quality Assurance Plan and Process Assurance Plan)
- Establish and deploy quality activities across projects
- Define documentation deliverables, including agile software reviews, the quality plan, inspections, and non-conformity management
- Assess and update the management of risks and critical issues with the Program Engineer and/or Project Manager
- Prepare for and participate in development and equipment milestones by providing quality perspectives and data
- Monitor action plans
- Manage and verify the implementation of change requests
- Track and present Software project quality indicators
- Manage non-conformities and facilitate problem resolution (8D)
- Manage waivers related to software development processes
- Participate in defining and implementing a Software process (V-Model and Agile)
- Support Project Managers in applying the Software process
- Improve document management and configuration management processes
- Participate in deploying new project management tools
- Conduct internal audits and prepare for customer assessments
- Develop improvement plans to meet software standards requirements (A-SPICE, CMMI, DO-178, EN 50128, etc.)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering degree or university Master’s degree
- 3 years of experience managing quality on software development projects in a highly regulated and complex environment (automotive, aerospace, rail, etc.)
- Knowledge of process and project quality, the DevOps toolchain, ISO 26262 functional safety, and Agile Software development
- Operational proficiency in English
- The successful candidate must meet the eligibility and access authorization requirements for state-controlled sites subject to national defense secrecy regulations
- Recognized for autonomy, rigor, and analytical skills
