About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute effective and professional quality engineering services aligned with Expleo methodologies
- Work under the supervision of a senior team member while learning quality engineering fundamentals
- Work on multiple project phases and/or multiple small projects of moderate scope
- Take responsibility for assigned areas, results evaluation, problem resolution, and planning
- Select appropriate standards, methods, tools, and applications for project use
- Apply data analysis and data modelling techniques to maintain or modify data structures and associated components
- Create and execute basic non-functional test scripts
- Set up test environments and test data and monitor test execution
- Design, code, test, and document simple programs or scripts
- Assist in implementing software within properly engineered systems
- Coordinate information gathering and reporting, conduct research, and prepare responses to anticipated questions
- Identify project risks and report them to relevant stakeholders
- Manage issues, risks, actions, dependencies, and defects
- Create traceability records from test cases back to requirements
- Report on system quality and collect test-case metrics
- Produce test scripts, test materials, and regression test packs for new and amended software or services
- Maintain project status and guide junior team members
- Work across teams to achieve group goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluency in German is a MUST
- English is preferable
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Mechatronics Engineering is a MUST
- Excellent communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Intermediate theoretical knowledge in quality engineering methodologies
- Good applications/technology knowledge
- Experience and/or knowledge of performance testing, data, and test automation tools such as HP Performance Center/LoadRunner, HP UFT/QTP, HP Service Test, Service Virtualize, SoapUI, CA LISA, CA GridTools Data Maker/DataManager, JMeter, Neoload, Selenium, IBM Rational Integration Tester, Rational Robot, Borland SilkTest, TOSCA, Atlassian Jira, Jenkins, Cucumber, and Gherkin
- Programming knowledge, ideally VB, Java, or C#
- Technical expertise in scripting languages such as Shell and Perl
- Good knowledge of cloud concepts and visualization
- Basic knowledge of quality engineering processes and principles
- Basic quality engineering expertise combined with domain understanding
- Good understanding of system architecture
- Experience in at least one development language and discipline
- Comfortable with basic SQL
- Good development/scripting skills in languages such as VB, Java, Perl, and C++
- Flexibility, independence, and self-motivation
- Willingness to learn and participate in training
- Good self-management and reliable delivery against defined goals
- Professional outlook and integrity
- ISTQB Foundation level is highly preferred
