About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Compile, check, and approve Aerostructures engineering Static Stress analyses on time and to required quality
Lead checking and approval of Static Stress analyses for timescale, cost, and quality
Work with relevant stakeholders to report technical task progress
Check and approve technical deliverables, including reports, presentations, and ECMs
Coach and mentor junior stress engineers
Identify potential work-scope variations or rework early and escalate to the technical lead
Ensure adherence to company Quality Assurance Policies
Deliver technical projects within the Aerostructures Department

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
Static Stress Engineer, Static Stress Approval, and Static Stress Analysis experience
Knowledge of Patran, Nastran, Hypermesh, Hyperworks, ANSYS, Abaqus, ISAMI, Visual Basic, Python, and MS Office
Ability to lead a team locally and offshore
Knowledge of tools and methods
Ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to plan and cost
Track record of delivery and technical excellence
Aerostructures static stress analysis experience
Knowledge of wing structure
Proven previous approval experience
Specific qualifications and security clearance
UK BPSS and ability to obtain SC clearance
