About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and continuously improve core components of the mobile platform using Flutter and Dart
- Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, testable, and performant
- Support evolution of the existing application portfolio toward a modern architecture
- Evaluate and propose engineering practices, tools, and technical improvements
- Build and maintain reliable, performant, user-focused mobile applications
- Own complex technical tasks and features from implementation through production
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback
- Promote clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Apply architectural patterns, OOP principles, SOLID practices, and platform-specific best practices
- Identify technical debt and contribute to prioritization and resolution discussions
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, technical discussions, and task estimations
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Contribute to technical planning and identify dependencies, risks, and implementation approaches
- Collaborate with developers to solve complex technical problems and improve development practices
- Support less experienced developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, integrations, development practices, and technical decisions
- Continuously improve development processes, tooling, testing practices, and ways of working
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional mobile application development experience across Android and/or iOS
- Strong experience working as a Senior Developer or in a comparable hands-on engineering role
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product, and other functions
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for software quality
- 3+ years of hands-on commercial Flutter development experience
- Strong knowledge of Dart, asynchronous programming, Streams, and reactive programming concepts such as RxDart
- At least one Flutter application successfully released to production through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store
- Strong understanding of Flutter application architecture, performance considerations, and development best practices
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and platform-specific development considerations
- Solid experience integrating applications with REST APIs and WebSockets/socket-based communication
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle, networking, state management, error handling, and performance optimization
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID principles
- Experience designing clean, modular, maintainable, and testable applications
- Strong attention to code quality and consistency
- Comfortable reviewing code and contributing to shared engineering standards
- Experience with native mobile development technologies such as Kotlin, Java, and/or Swift is nice to have
- Experience configuring or working with mobile CI/CD pipelines is nice to have
- Practical experience writing Unit, Integration, and Functional tests for mobile applications is nice to have
- Experience with large-scale or high-traffic consumer applications is nice to have
- Experience modernizing or migrating an existing mobile application architecture is nice to have
- Experience contributing to development standards, architecture guidelines, or engineering processes is nice to have
