About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee accounting teams across multiple states, standardizing processes and ensuring consistent financial reporting across the portfolio
- Manage month-end close and quarterly and annual reporting cycles
- Ensure GAAP compliance and handle ASC 606 revenue recognition complexity
- Lead and mentor regional controllers and accounting teams
- Build a strong finance leadership bench through internal talent assessment and development
- Lead accounting integration for acquisitions, aligning systems, controls, and processes
- Support CFO-level activities including lender and sponsor management, cash flow oversight, and strategic financial planning
- Drive growth toward $500M+ revenue
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep hands-on knowledge of construction accounting, especially work-in-process and percentage of completion revenue recognition
- Proven experience in a private-equity-backed environment managing multiple locations with a shared services model
- Experience driving standardization and controls and collaborating with sponsors and lenders
- Ability to architect and implement standardized processes across a growing multi-location platform
- Ability to develop and influence a diverse team and provide practical, hands-on guidance without micromanaging
