About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and manage the Library Services Team’s subscription budgets
  • Assess operational requirements
  • Coordinate access to subscriptions
  • Maintain EDC’s online library catalogue
  • Review and process client requests for subscriptions to information resources
  • Collect usage data and user feedback
  • Update user lists
  • Collect and analyze subscription renewal data
  • Organize training sessions delivered by vendors
  • Create structured collections to promote subscriptions and encourage their use
  • Update the Library Services Team’s SharePoint Online sites
  • Collaborate with colleagues across diverse areas and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing post-secondary studies in a library science program, or recently graduated
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Proficiency in M365, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work at EDC’s downtown Ottawa office
  • Fluency in both official languages is an asset
  • Ability to work legally in Canada at the time of application is preferred
  • Ability to meet government security requirements
