About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Elicit, analyze, communicate, validate, and translate business needs into delivery artifacts
  • Connect business subject matter experts with technical communities and delivery partners
  • Assess processes and information streams and identify use cases
  • Select and apply appropriate business analysis tools, models, and techniques
  • Build relationships with business subject matter experts and collaborate on requirements artifacts
  • Contribute to team maturation and agile practices
  • Capture business needs clearly in easily consumed formats
  • Explain complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Present complex or conflicting issues and use persuasion, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Identify business changes resulting from changing technology or digital capabilities
  • Solve problems using critical thinking and data
  • Contribute to strategy and planning
  • Align requirements outputs with the Digital Channel Product Roadmap
  • Integrate test strategy with requirements and delivered products using the 3 Amigos framework
  • Learn and leverage AI-oriented tools and concepts
  • Assess impacts on workstreams, applications, business processes, and data integrity
  • Lead presentations and facilitate requirements and gap-analysis sessions
  • Produce clear, complete, right-sized documentation
  • Support user acceptance testing and operational readiness activities
  • Collaborate with the Digital Experience Technology Family, vendor partners, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary Degree in Commerce, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar position
  • Solid knowledge of Agile Delivery Practices and large program delivery roles and activities
  • Technical implementation and project lifecycle experience
  • Familiarity with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Expert knowledge of ADO and/or JIRA, Confluence and/or other requirement management tools
  • Excellent investigative and analytical skills
  • Ability to translate broad, strategic intent into tactical plans and directions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences
  • Strong listening skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience facilitating group sessions and displaying leadership within a project team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and their application to requirements gathering
  • Ability to work legally in Canada at the time of application; Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents preferred
  • Ability to meet requisite government security screening requirements
