About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review packaging and print files for technical feasibility and quality, including color profiles, separations, overprinting, spot colors, bleed, die lines, and resolution
- Compare print files against style guides, templates, and customer specifications
- Review packaging designs using checklists and customer-specific and legal requirements, such as the German Food Information Regulation (LMIV) and the Cosmetics Regulation
- Support the technical preparation of print files for flexographic, gravure, and offset printing
- Work closely with Design, Artwork, and Project Management
- Identify errors at an early stage and resolve them reliably
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training in media design, print technology, or a comparable qualification
- Ideally, experience in prepress, artwork, or quality assurance, preferably in a packaging environment
- Very good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with Esko DeskPack or comparable tools is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of printing processes such as flexographic, gravure, or offset printing is desirable
- Strong commitment to quality, along with a structured, precise, and conscientious approach to work
- A strong sense of responsibility, patience, reliability, and genuine team spirit
- Good written and spoken German; English skills are an advantage
