Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and document cloud infrastructure and cloud monitoring solutions
Gather requirements with team members
Deploy cloud technology to scale a platform powering video advertising
Monitor production environments
Manage incidents and troubleshoot complex issues
Perform deployments, automation, security, and continuous improvement of cloud operations
Provide Tier 3 production infrastructure support across rotating APAC, UK/EMEA, and US shifts
Investigate live application issues and coordinate with developers
Diagnose major incidents using backend and frontend product code
Conduct root-cause analysis and produce incident reports
Implement corrective and preventive actions
Create and manage automated infrastructure, builds, and configuration management
Support developers with bug triage and fixing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Automate manual operations tasks to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
Identify system improvements to increase reliability and reduce incidents
Manage and support proactive monitoring solutions across the Production environment
Analyze trends and themes in issues reported in Live Applications
Facilitate developer investigations to prevent recurring issues
Perform actions on backend/frontend product codebases for real-time diagnosis of major incidents
Perform analysis and reporting on frequently occurring Live problems
Deliver Tier 3 support for production infrastructure across APAC, UK/EMEA, and US shifts
Provide 24x7 on-call coverage during weekends and public holidays
Resolve complex issues to maintain critical service availability and reliability
Act as first responder for infrastructure and production incidents
Perform root-cause analysis and prepare incident/RCA reports
Implement corrective and preventive actions
Create and manage automated infrastructure solutions, builds, and configuration management
Assist developers with bug triage and resolution
Understand large-scale on-premises and cloud mission-critical systems, networking, security, redundancy, scalability, monitoring, and performance KPIs
Ability to integrate and exploit new technologies, PaaS offerings, and APIs
