About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build and operate AI agents and automation for recurring program reporting using Claude and Claude Code integrated with enterprise systems
  • Own the AI and automation roadmap and prioritize work based on effort saved and risk reduced
  • Guide Technology Assurance, Risk and Policy teams on applying AI and agentic AI
  • Establish practices for consistent and safe AI adoption
  • Define verification, reconciliation and source-data checks for AI output
  • Set technical standards for AI scoping, prompt and context engineering, testing, documentation and sensitive-data handling
  • Advise program leadership on AI suitability, conventional solutions, cost, risk and effort
  • Evaluate AI tooling and models and introduce valuable solutions
  • Build resilient, supportable automation with error handling, secure credential management, logging, alerting, version control and documentation
  • Work with IT and Information Security to secure approval, connectivity and ongoing support for AI tooling
  • Represent the program’s AI and automation position to senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Develop AI engineering capability through reusable components, documented patterns and practical working sessions
  • Serve as AI leader for Technology Assurance, Risk and Policy
  • Determine agent scope, verify outputs and identify work that must remain with people

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 10 years of experience in software, automation or data engineering
  • Significant experience as a senior individual contributor with technical ownership of production systems
  • Demonstrable experience building production solutions with Claude, Claude Code and Claude Agent SDK
  • Experience designing end-to-end agentic workflows
  • Practical prompt and context engineering, including reliability and repeatability testing
  • Strong Python, including python-pptx, python-docx, openpyxl and pandas, or equivalent
  • Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio and Microsoft Graph
  • Production experience with Power Automate or a comparable enterprise workflow automation platform
  • Experience automating recurring operational or reporting processes end to end
  • Experience building unattended systems with error handling, credential management, logging, alerting and scheduling
  • Experience working with large datasets from multiple systems, including reconciliation and data assessment
  • Experience setting technical standards through review, shared components or documented patterns
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse, globally distributed teams
  • Relevant cloud, data or security engineering certification is advantageous
