About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to Identity and Access Management projects for customers globally
  • Report identified engagement risks and share issues and updates with leadership and management
  • Ensure work meets EY quality standards and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer
  • Coach and counsel junior team members and support their development
  • Execute an IAM roadmap covering security requirements, secrets management, machine identities, and access policies
  • Administer and support enterprise Okta environments across production, non-production, and disaster recovery tenants
  • Design, review, test, and implement Okta policies
  • Engineer secure authentication experiences using SSO, MFA, passwordless, and phishing-resistant authenticators
  • Configure and troubleshoot SAML, OIDC/OAuth, SWA, WS-Federation, and SCIM integrations
  • Develop and maintain Okta Workflows and API-based automations
  • Monitor authentication health and security events using Okta System Log and Splunk
  • Provide operational support for authentication incidents and service requests, perform root cause analysis, coordinate vendor support, and document resolutions
  • Plan and execute controlled IAM changes, including impact analysis, risk assessment, testing, communications, rollback plans, and post-change validation
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, implementation plans, architecture notes, and support procedures
  • Create and manage Jira stories and sprint deliverables; estimate work, track dependencies, and support Agile ceremonies
  • Collaborate with IAM, application, directory services, service desk, security operations, infrastructure, change management, and vendor teams
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer, onboarding, peer reviews, mentoring, and continuous improvement
  • Execute engagement requirements and review junior team members’ work
  • Prepare client reports and schedules
  • Develop productive relationships with client personnel and internal EY teams
  • Support performance reviews and feedback for junior team members
  • Contribute to recruiting, retention, and organization-wide people initiatives
  • Manage performance management for direct reports according to organizational policies
  • Foster teamwork and lead by example

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B. Tech./ B.E. with sound technical skills
  • 5-9 years’ work experience in Identity and Access Management
  • Experience implementing or supporting SSO, MFA, directory integrations, federation, lifecycle management, and application onboarding
  • Strong command of verbal and written English language
  • Experience with Access Management tools such as Okta and PingFed
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to participate in client-facing discussions and work effectively across on-site and offshore delivery models
  • Strong hands-on experience in Okta administration
  • Deep understanding of authentication and authorization concepts, including SSO, MFA, passwordless authentication, phishing resistance, session management, and adaptive or risk-based access
  • Experience with Okta policies, rules, groups, profile mappings, authenticators, application assignments, directory integrations, user lifecycle management, and role-based administration
  • Working knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SWA, WS-Federation, SCIM, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and HTTP
  • Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting provisioning and deprovisioning flows, group-based access, profile sourcing, attribute mappings, and downstream application behavior
  • Ability to use Splunk and Okta System Log for monitoring, alert analysis, incident investigation, change validation, and audit evidence
  • Understanding of RBAC, ABAC, least privilege, privileged access, break-glass access, identity governance, and security control design
  • Understanding of Access Management, Workforce, and CIAM solutions
  • Strong understanding of Okta APIs, XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience setting up IAM environments in standalone and cluster environments
  • Experience with directory-level integration with Okta for AD, LDAP, Azure AD, and Oracle AD
  • Understanding of IWA and Okta Workflows
  • Knowledge of Okta Access Gateway, Okta Advanced Server Access, and SCIM
  • Experience with risk-based MFA and application access control
  • Experience with security assessments, adaptive risk configurations, and multifactor authentication
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and threat modeling
  • Client-facing experience
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Bruno or Postman, Git-based version control, and enterprise change management processes
  • Hands-on Java/Python development and debugging experience
  • Use case design, Solution Requirements Specification, and traceability matrix experience
  • Experience contributing to RFP response teams
  • Okta certifications such as Okta Certified Professional, Administrator, Consultant, Developer, or Workflows Specialty
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or equivalent IAM/security certification
