About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tactical and strategic M&A advice to clients
- Support inorganic growth, synergies, market entry, divestitures, capital raising and capital restructuring
- Provide M&A advisory services to global EYP leaders
- Lead client interactions, delivery and relationship building with global sector leaders
- Coordinate directly with onshore PPEDs, Senior Managers and Managers
- Work across the M&A deal lifecycle from origination through closing
- Perform transaction screening, proposal development, pitch book preparation, industry research, precedent transaction analysis and comparative company valuation analysis
- Develop opportunity papers, information memorandums and financial M&A models
- Manage a team of 2–3 people and counsel team members
- Identify learning and development requirements of counselees
- Measure, monitor and improve client service and service delivery quality
- Manage multiple medium-sized projects and focus teams on key priorities
- Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes
- Analyze resource needs and gaps across locations with project leaders
- Travel on assignments abroad as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- MBA or PG Diploma in Finance, or CFA Level 3 passed, or CA
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in Transaction (M&A) Advisory or Corporate Finance
- Strong M&A research experience
- Expertise preparing pitch books, industry research, company research, opportunity papers, information memorandums and financial models
- Knowledge of valuation principles and financial statement analysis
- Strong financial research and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of research databases such as Capital IQ and OneSource
- Ability to source relevant information from appropriate sources
- Ability to manage time to budgets and communicate progress against plan
- Ability to organize and structure task completion
- Willingness to travel abroad as required
- Exposure to Copilot, VBA, Power BI, Think-cell or SharePoint is an added advantage
