About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute operationally focused projects across the transaction lifecycle
  • Conduct operational due diligence focused on EBITDA upside and operational risk
  • Support buy-side carve-out and integration planning
  • Develop post-acquisition 100-day and value creation plans
  • Drive ongoing performance improvement
  • Support exit-readiness planning to maximize returns and position buyers to enhance value
  • Work in project teams with colleagues across EY-Parthenon sub-service lines
  • Assist with pursuits, presentations, and client meetings
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives
  • Build relationships with senior clients and advise and support key decision-makers
  • Develop technical and personal skills through structured learning, coaching, and experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 1 year of related work experience; or a graduate degree and some related work experience
  • Strategy and operations management consulting experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/modeling skills
  • Experience translating complex data into meaningful insights
  • Experience in operational due diligence, operational restructuring, and performance improvement
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop long-lasting relationships internally and externally
  • In-person teaming at a client site or EY office a minimum of 60% of the time or an average of 3 days a week
  • Must reside in or be within commuting distance of the office location
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary
  • MBA is preferred
  • Proven record of excellence in a transactions role
  • Experience in operational improvement in a corporate setting
  • Experience with another large professional services organization is advantageous
  • Knowledge of firm-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot
