Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with senior leadership teams at Power & Utilities clients to support energy transformation through Sustainable Finance
  • Combine finance capability with program and change management expertise to implement and embed improvements
  • Co-create strategies enabling CFOs to drive sustainable, long-term business value
  • Design future-proof finance operating models meeting reporting, regulatory, and control standards
  • Leverage cutting-edge technologies in finance transformation
  • Develop compelling cases for change using financial and non-financial factors
  • Lead comprehensive Finance Transformation programs
  • Lead and deliver innovative business processes and solutions
  • Implement and integrate PowerPlan with ERP and EAM systems
  • Design finance operating models and improve finance processes
  • Design and implement shared services and global business services
  • Provide outsourcing advisory
  • Support FP&A, finance systems, intelligent automation, financial close, consolidation, and reporting
  • Deliver cost management, profitability analysis, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, asset accounting, and project accounting solutions
  • Apply knowledge of utility billing-to-cash processes via CIS systems and GLs
  • Apply knowledge of utility rate structures, recovery, and revenue models
  • Understand power transmission and distribution operations and related financial planning drivers
  • Address FERC reporting requirements and intersections with GAAP reporting
  • Define and execute key deliverables
  • Manage project timelines and track progress
  • Engage regularly with clients, provide insights, and lead working sessions
  • Lead teams and drive additional service offerings as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree)
  • Typically, no less than 2–4 years of relevant experience in consulting and the power and utilities industry
  • Experience with P&U-specific finance functions and applications such as SAP, Oracle, and PowerPlan
  • Business case development
  • Digital strategy
  • Finance compliance and regulation awareness
  • Finance quality, maturity, efficiency, and operational risk assessment
  • Finance strategy, operating model, and transformation roadmap experience
  • Finance sustainability
  • PowerPlan and ERP system experience
  • Proficiency in business case development and digital strategy
  • Awareness of finance compliance and regulation
  • Expertise in finance strategy, operating model design, and transformation roadmaps
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
  • Complex problem-solving and digital fluency
  • Travel of 60–80% as needed to meet external client needs
