About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end Record-to-Report workstreams across master data, fixed assets, projects, periodic close, intercompany, sub-consolidation, corporate consolidations, and financial reporting
- Lead end-to-end FP&A workstreams covering strategic planning, revenue planning, cost of sales planning, SG&A planning, workforce planning, EBITDA planning, cashflow planning, driver-based planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario management
- Assess and redesign R2R and FP&A operating models, processes, and organizational structures
- Develop and deliver finance transformation initiatives improving close and reporting effectiveness, planning and forecasting capabilities, governance, and finance function performance
- Own L3/L4 process flows, design decisions, assumptions, functional and reporting requirements, KPIs, and master and transactional data requirements
- Facilitate design and solutioning workshops with client GPOs, business unit leads, subject matter resources, and technology stakeholders
- Manage day-to-day delivery, including workplans, RAID logs, scope, deliverable quality, engagement economics, onshore/offshore mix, and global delivery leverage
- Quantify value cases for R2R and FP&A pain points, including close cycle time, close efficiency, journal entry automation, account reconciliations, forecasting effectiveness, forecast accuracy, budget and forecast cycle duration, revenue opportunities, working capital improvements, and cost reductions
- Coach and develop staff and seniors
- Contribute to proposals, Phase 0 assessments, and sector thought leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- MBA or CPA a plus
- 6+ years of progressive experience in finance transformation, R2R or FP&A process design; Controllership or FP&A operations
- Consulting experience strongly preferred
- Proven Media & Entertainment sector experience
- Strong executive communication, workshop facilitation and written deliverable skills
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Group Reporting, OneStream Consolidations, SAP Analytics Cloud, Anaplan, BlackLine, Trintech, Fiori Reporting, BW, AoE, or similar tools
- Experience with film and television title accounting, content cost accounting, close/consolidation/reporting complexity, streaming and D2C financial performance, advertising/distribution/content forecasting, profitability analytics, financial planning complexity, and the Media & Entertainment ecosystem
