About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead engagement teams and workstreams on corporate, commercial and SME banking transformation programs
- Lead delivery of a project workstream end-to-end, owning quality, budget and timeliness of work products
- Manage and motivate a team of 3-4 consultants through coaching and feedback
- Own the day-to-day client relationship as a trusted point of contact
- Understand client needs and goals to shape solutions
- Drive analysis including current-/future-state assessments, operating model designs, benchmarking and business cases
- Contribute to RFP responses, proposals, points of view and go-to-market materials
- Contribute to internal EY initiatives and practice collateral
- Develop the next generation of consulting talent
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree plus approximately 5-9 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree plus approximately 4-8 years
- Delivery-leadership or people-leadership experience
- Consulting, advisory or transformation project delivery experience, ideally within corporate or commercial banking; or hands-on corporate, commercial or SME banking, bank operations, lending operations, or middle-office experience
- Experience owning a workstream or initiative end-to-end, or managing and developing others
- Experience with operating model design; product/process design or operations management for banking products across the credit or deposit lifecycle; transformation program strategy and delivery; current-/future-state assessment and gap analysis; channel transformation; core platform transformation; or core system conversions and client migrations
- Ability to manage a workstream through all project lifecycle phases, including project plans, deliverables, output reviews and team feedback
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client-service and technical-writing skills
- Ability to travel up to approximately 60% annually, including internationally
- Preferred but not required: AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or Replit
- Preferred but not required: target operating model design, process re-engineering, current-/future-state assessment or gap analysis
- Preferred but not required: lending operations, core platform modernization, system conversions or client migrations
- Preferred but not required: transaction banking and treasury management knowledge
- Preferred but not required: KYC, AML and other applicable compliance regulations
- Preferred but not required: proposal and pursuit contributions, reusable practice collateral and C-suite client relationships
- Preferred but not required: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum or comparable delivery-leadership certification
