About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide tactical and strategic M&A advice to clients
- Support inorganic growth, acquisitions, market entry, business sales or separations, capital raising and capital restructuring
- Support the full M&A deal lifecycle from origination to closure
- Identify buy-side and sell-side M&A opportunities, acquisition targets and strategic or financial buyers
- Prepare client discussion materials, pitch books, marketing collaterals, business plans, opportunity papers and information memorandums
- Perform transaction screening, industry research, precedent transaction analysis and comparable company valuation analysis
- Create financial M&A models
- Lead client interactions, delivery and relationship building with global EYP sector leaders
- Coordinate directly with onshore PPEDs, Senior Managers and Managers
- Manage and counsel a team of 1–2 people and identify learning and development needs
- Monitor and improve client service and ensure quality delivery
- Manage multiple medium-sized projects and focus teams on key priorities
- Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes
- Analyze resource needs and gaps across locations with project leaders
- Travel abroad on assignments as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- MBA or PG Diploma in Finance, or CFA Level 3 passed, or CA
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in Transaction (M&A) Advisory or Corporate Finance
- Strong M&A research experience
- Expertise preparing pitch books, industry research, company research, opportunity papers, information memorandums and financial models
- Knowledge of valuation principles and financial statement analysis
- Strong financial research and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of research databases such as Capital IQ and OneSource
- Ability to source relevant information from appropriate sources
- Ability to manage time to budgets and communicate progress
- Organized and structured task completion
- Exposure to Copilot, VBA, Power BI, Think-cell and SharePoint is an added advantage
