About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and execute operationally focused projects across the transaction lifecycle
  • Conduct operational due diligence focused on EBITDA upside and operational risk
  • Lead buy-side carve-out and integration planning
  • Support newly spun-out businesses in operating independently and realizing anticipated synergies
  • Develop post-acquisition 100-day and value creation plans
  • Drive ongoing performance improvement
  • Develop exit readiness plans to maximize returns and enhance value
  • Lead and manage project teams across EY-Parthenon service lines
  • Drive pursuits through presentations and client meetings
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives
  • Coach, train, and mentor junior team members
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior clients and advise key decision-makers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience
  • Strategy and operations management consulting experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/modeling skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
  • Experience in operational due diligence, operational transformation, and performance improvement
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis aptitude
  • Experience working on value creation engagements in Industrials, Business Services, Energy, Consumer Products, and/or Retail
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in complex business environments
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop long-lasting internal and external relationships
  • Reside in or be within commuting distance of the office location
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • MBA is preferred
  • Experience in M&A transactions
  • Experience driving operational improvement programs in a corporate setting
  • Experience within another large professional services organization
  • Knowledge of firm-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot
