About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, solution, integrate, and implement innovative cybersecurity solutions
- Design, build, test, and implement security within on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure
- Identify requirements and design and implement scalable, resilient network architecture
- Plan, design, deploy, configure, integrate, and manage network protection controls
- Deploy changes, plug-ins, and configurations requested by clients
- Deliver SASE strategy, assessment, vendor selection, proof-of-concept validation, architecture design, and enterprise-scale implementation
- Plan, design, deploy, configure, integrate, and manage WAF and proxy/Zscaler solutions
- Segment networks, applications, and data to limit exposure to attacks
- Manage platform protection controls, including virtualization and thin-client security solutions
- Maintain network drawings, text descriptions, equipment configurations, HLDs, and LLDs
- Serve as a highly technical security expert for security transformation across new and legacy infrastructure
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive C-suite and senior leadership meetings and discussions
- Communicate security issues and risk-based recommendations to clients and business stakeholders
- Develop and deliver domain-specific training
- Develop and implement automation aligned with client business, technology, and threat posture
- Track digital business and threat-environment developments and reflect them in security strategies and architecture artifacts
- Coach and counsel junior team members and support their development
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8–12 years of Information Technology experience, specializing in Cyber Security roles across multiple areas
- Professional-level knowledge of Zero Trust Security Strategy and Implementation
- Experience with Security Engineering and Architecture assessments
- Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, NAC, SD-WAN, WAF, Proxy, EDR/XDR, and related technologies
- Expert-level experience deploying, maintaining, and operating one or more major network security devices
- Cloud Security Architecture experience
- Consultative and entrepreneurial approach to solving security problems
- Experience in Zero Trust Security Architecture and Solution Design
- Experience with Zero Trust and micro-segmentation solutions, including Guardicore and Illumio
- Experience with network protection controls including Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, SDN Security, DDoS Protection, IPS, VPN, wireless security, NAC, and network authentication solutions
- Experience delivering SASE transformations using Palo Alto, Netskope, Zscaler, and Fortinet
- Experience with WAF and proxy/Zscaler solutions
- Experience segmenting networks, applications, and data
- Experience with virtualization protection solutions on hypervisors and thin-client security solutions
- Understanding of TCP/IP, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, and web filtering
- Proficiency with network documentation, network drawings, HLDs, and LLDs
- Ability to travel and work flexible timings as required
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical and security issues to stakeholders
- Proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs
- Strong presentation, project management, facilitation, delivery, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create and deliver domain-specific training content
- Ability to develop and implement automation solutions
- Industry-related certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SABSA, PRINCE2, TOGAF, or Zscaler is advantageous, not required
- Prior experience in Advisory or Technology Consulting is advantageous, not required
