About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review fund financial statements for private market and public funds under IFRS/Ind AS or US GAAP
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end P&L and NAV
  • Prepare NAV packs, board packs and investor allocations
  • Perform fund accounting using Yardi, Investran and LemonEdge
  • Support data migration and transformation as a techno-functional fund accounting business analyst
  • Gather requirements, perform gap analysis, map processes, lead business testing and maintain documentation
  • Book journal entries, calculate management fees and accrued expense reimbursements, value investments, and prepare financial and investor reports
  • Finalize and consolidate subsidiary, SPV and PropCo books with the holding company
  • Scrutinize subsidiary, SPV and PropCo ledgers and analyze accounts
  • Process capital calls, distributions and waterfall distributions
  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with IFRS or US GAAP
  • Perform middle-office functions including P&L analysis, cash projections, FX funding transfer calculations, and contribution and redemption checks
  • Review general ledger exceptions and make necessary adjustments
  • Accrue non-security-related expenses, including management fees and financing accruals
  • Perform securities pricing analysis
  • Review and test controls and create process checklists
  • Coordinate with client service teams to ensure timely and accurate financial-information communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Chartered Accountant qualification
  • CPA qualification
  • Experience in fund accounting
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing fund financial statements under IFRS/Ind AS or US GAAP
  • Strong experience delivering month-end P&L and NAV
  • Strong experience preparing NAV packs, board packs and investor allocations
  • Experience with Yardi, Investran and LemonEdge
  • Practical experience with SQL, Python, Alteryx, Anaplan, Confluence and JIRA
  • Functional domain experience in private markets and techno-functional fund accounting BA work
  • Experience with requirements gathering, gap analysis, process mapping, business testing and documentation in an Agile delivery environment
  • Knowledge of real estate accounting under IFRS and US GAAP
  • Ability to work in a virtual global team and manage cross-border relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple client departments while following commercial and legal requirements
