About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define, collaborate on, and own architecture roadmaps for scalable data platforms supporting finance transformation programs
Design and oversee secure, scalable, high-performance cloud-native data platforms and analytics solutions
Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across data platform layers
Drive adoption of data lakes, lakehouse architectures, orchestration tools, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions
Partner with DevOps teams on CI/CD and release management
Lead platform incident management and resolution
Lead delivery governance across concurrent workstreams
Implement Agile, DevOps, and SRE operating models
Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and performance frameworks
Ensure data governance, compliance, quality, and security across platform operations
Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, analytics, and DevOps teams
Drive workforce planning, capability development, and technical upskilling
Collaborate with business leaders, finance transformation teams, and clients on scalable technology solutions
Support solution design, proposals, and client discussions
Communicate program progress, risks, and value realization to executive stakeholders
Drive a product-centric approach and industrialize reusable platform assets
Enable advanced analytics and AI-driven insights from finance data

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
12-18+ years of experience in data engineering, platform architecture, and delivery leadership roles
Proven experience leading large-scale engineering teams within enterprise environments
Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
Strong knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse implementations
Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, DBT, or similar technologies
Knowledge of API-driven architectures, microservices, and integration frameworks
Understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements
Proven track record delivering large-scale data and transformation programs
Experience implementing DevOps, CI/CD, and SRE practices
Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and cost management
Knowledge of corporate finance processes including P2P, O2C, R2R, and FP&A
Experience supporting finance transformation, analytics platforms, or data-led transformation programs
