About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end application architecture and technology roadmaps across complex, enterprise-scale initiatives
  • Establish secure engineering patterns, reusable frameworks, and delivery governance
  • Lead cross-team decisions, modernization efforts, dependencies, and technical risk
  • Influence senior client and internal stakeholders on technical direction and trade-offs
  • Mentor and develop technical leaders and engineers through coaching, feedback, and career guidance
  • Define reusable standards and drive organizational capability improvement
  • Champion code quality, security, testing, and automation standards
  • Translate requirements into secure, well-integrated applications
  • Lead delivery of high-volume, business-critical production platforms for financial services clients
  • Design, build/configure, test, analyze, deliver, and support Technology solutions
  • Manage changing priorities and learn rapidly changing technology solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA or advanced degree, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in software development for business-critical, enterprise-wide applications, architecture, and technical leadership
  • Expertise with .NET, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, and C#
  • Expertise in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
  • Experience with SOAP, JSON, XML, log4net, uDeploy, Jenkins, SQL Server, IIS, Oracle, Ant, Maven, and Groovy
  • Experience with Oracle and the ability to write and tune SQL queries
  • Proven experience owning application architecture, establishing engineering governance, and mentoring technical leaders
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with senior business and technical stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Containerization and AWS exposure, and AWS Cloud Certification, a plus
  • TDD, CI/CD, and automated regression testing skills a plus
  • Experience with Entity Framework and data access patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, GenAI tools, distributed database technologies, and financial brokerage domain knowledge ideally
