About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage learning design and development projects, including large-scale and highly complex projects, on time, to budget, and to quality standards
  • Develop detailed project plans identifying deliverable due dates and review cycles
  • Establish and maintain relationships with subject matter resources, learning stakeholders, and third-party learning vendors
  • Ensure compliance with procurement, finance, and Risk Management processes
  • Coordinate and monitor vendor project managers, designers, and developers
  • Identify and assess risks and consult with leadership and stakeholders on options
  • Facilitate and lead regular project and team meetings
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Share project management best practices and support continuous improvement
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers
  • Advise leadership on competing priorities and resource management
  • Initiate and ensure timely publication of learning content
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Manage projects autonomously with limited supervision while supporting multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing learning design and development projects, preferably globally and/or for a dispersed client base
  • Experience managing vendors
  • Experience concurrently managing multiple, large-scale, highly complex learning and development projects across all delivery channels/types
  • Experience using project management software, including Microsoft Excel
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with business customers/clients, including senior or C-suite stakeholders
  • Experience thinking and acting strategically and commercially in pursuit of wider EY business objectives
  • Experience mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members
  • Strong knowledge of learning end-to-end processes and standards
  • Knowledge of learning science and evidence-based design standards and practices
  • Bachelor’s degree and ideally higher professional or master’s qualification in a related discipline (preferred/ideal, not required)
