About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on and lead advanced, complex restructuring engagements
- Analyze companies’ financial and operational results
- Evaluate financial information and help prepare EY’s view of stated financial information
- Identify liquidity issues, distress areas, and working-capital improvement opportunities
- Prepare and review cash-flow projection models and business plans
- Understand revenue and cost drivers and recommend performance-improvement measures
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on markets and target companies
- Write reports synthesizing and presenting findings
- Measure, monitor, and improve client service by guiding team members and driving service-delivery excellence
- Support business development, sector-activation activities, and pitches/proposals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Chartered Accountancy or MBA in Finance from a premiere institute
- 5–7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Experience in management consultancy firms, preferably Big 4 or financial analytics firms
- Alternatively, experience in large Indian corporates with exposure to restructuring activities, analytics, financial modelling, and corporate finance
- Hands-on experience in restructuring services, transactional/deal understanding, performance improvement, distressed M&A, insolvency, and bankruptcy
- Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Excellent understanding of companies, industries, economic research, and financial statements
- Strong experience in secondary and sector/industry research
- Experience working with clients in a global landscape
- Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas, assess findings, and communicate insights
- Proven experience interacting with senior client management
- Excellent problem-solving, project-management, and facilitation skills
- Excellent people-management and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing final presentations
