About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead security investigations and eDiscovery matters
- Act as a lead technical investigator for information gathering, analysis, and reporting in digital forensic investigations
- Produce fact-based technical reports detailing events over specified periods
- Share investigation reports with stakeholders for action
- Advise stakeholders on information derived from internal and external sources related to information security, digital forensics, and investigations
- Identify and propose improvements to IIS processes and procedures
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and events caused by EY personnel, contractors, and associates globally
- Perform computer forensic reviews and manage eDiscovery requests supporting General Counsel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5–10 years of experience in Information Security, investigative units, or incident response
- In-depth understanding of cyber investigation, forensic tools, and methodologies
- Experience with log correlation and analysis
- Experience forensically handling electronic data
- Understanding of computer security investigative processes
- Basic understanding of legalities surrounding discovery and analysis of electronically stored information
- Experience with forensic tools such as Nuix and Axiom
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and other monitoring tools
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Purview, Sentinel, and Azure
- Subject Matter Expert knowledge of Microsoft Purview
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience reporting to Senior Leadership
- Must hold or be actively pursuing related professional certifications such as CISSP, Security+, EnCE, ACE, GCFE, or GCIA
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance if assigned in the US
- Some weekend work should be expected
- Knowledge of data privacy and legal issues in information security environments
- Experience in investigation case management
- Ability to work in a global environment across multiple jurisdictions
- Interview skills with an investigative mindset
