About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze specific issues in the preparation of statutory reporting, including GAAP-to-GAAP and other adjustments
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of statutory financial statements
- Apply technical accounting knowledge to analyze account balances, reconciliations and other financial matters during monthly, quarterly or annual close
- Validate accounting accuracy and completeness while keeping work on schedule
- Follow up on deliverables and analyze issues preventing completion
- Collaborate with others to resolve problems and mitigate late filing and compliance risks
- Execute continuous improvement projects to improve quality, visibility, efficiency and client experience
- Analyze manual journal entries for potential elimination through materiality thresholds or automation
- Apply judgment to resolve accounting or process issues
- Prepare and present statutory reporting compliance calendars and status updates
- Interpret statutory reporting and accounting matters and develop resolution options with supervisors
- Escalate issues to management to maintain timely, high-quality service delivery
- Supervised by an Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager
- Responsible for keeping assigned individuals on task and within budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related business major or equivalent experience
- 3–4 years of experience
- Approved technical certification, CPA license or membership to state Bar or progress to attaining those mentioned
- Knowledge of global statutory reporting and/or bookkeeping, preferably with experience across multiple countries
- Strong analytical skills
- Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving ability and attention to details
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and IT concepts
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize or request clarification on engagement priorities
- Ability to travel 20–30% to client locations
- Client-facing exposure in a global role preferred
