About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with business reporting and other teams to understand business requirements and perform data analysis
- Lead project transitions between teams, including post-transition enhancements and modifications
- Work across multiple projects with back-end data architects and systems engineers to construct data objects
- Create SSIS, SQL, and Azure Data Factory packages to extract, transfer, and load data
- Support and troubleshoot existing ETL processes
- Analyze large datasets, determine patterns and rules, and prepare Power BI visualization dashboards
- Build Azure Data Factory pipelines to load large datasets
- Design and support database and table structures for new and evolving data sources
- Perform detailed data analysis to ensure data quality
- Take end-to-end ownership across analysis and development phases
- Manage client expectations, provide proactive communication and status updates, and follow change control and release management processes
- Frame business problems, develop analytical strategies, and recommend changes in business decision-making
- Contribute as a senior team member to technical streams of Decision Sciences implementation projects
- Interface with onsite coordinators
- Document and present work to clients
- Complete assigned tasks on time and provide regular status reports to the lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- More than 5 years of experience as a data analyst and SQL/T-SQL/SSIS developer, ETL/Databricks/Power BI/Azure Cloud Developer specifically ADF
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in a related field
- Python coding experience
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with SSIS, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, data lakes, Synapse, Power BI, database management, data modelling, Python/PySpark, Git/GitHub, and Gen AI tools
- Ability to handle multiple projects and coordinate between teams
- Prior client-facing skills are a plus
- Working knowledge of MS Excel Macros is an advantage
- Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps/Power Automate) is advantageous
