About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute operationally focused projects within EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution Value Creation practice
  • Conduct operational due diligence focused on EBITDA upside and operational risk
  • Support buy-side carve-out and integration planning
  • Help newly spun-out businesses operate independently and enable mergers to realize and grow anticipated synergies
  • Develop post-acquisition 100-day and value creation plans
  • Support ongoing performance improvement initiatives
  • Conduct exit-readiness planning to maximize returns and position buyers to continue enhancing value
  • Participate in project teams with colleagues across EY-Parthenon sub-service lines
  • Assist with pursuits, presentations, and client meetings
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives
  • Build relationships with senior clients and provide influence, advice, and support to key decision-makers
  • Learn and develop technical and personal skills through structured learning, coaching, and experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience
  • Strategy and operations management consulting experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/modeling skills
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
  • Experience in operational due diligence, operational restructuring, and performance improvement
  • Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and operational performance metrics
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments
  • Ability to prioritize effectively on projects
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop long-lasting relationships internally and externally
  • In-person teaming at a client site or EY office at least 60% of the time, or approximately 3 days per week during an engagement, project, or performance year
  • Reside in or be within a commutable distance to the office location
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary
  • MBA is preferred
  • Proven record of excellence in a transactions role
  • Experience in operational improvement in a corporate setting
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization
  • Knowledge of leveraging firm-approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot
