About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop server-side services, APIs, and data integrations for financial services clients
  • Translate requirements into secure services
  • Integrate new interfaces with existing systems
  • Own assigned workstreams independently from design through production support, including production triage
  • Apply code quality, security, testing, and automation standards
  • Design, build/configure, test, analyze, deliver, and support Technology solutions
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, testing, and operations teams
  • Mentor less-experienced team members where appropriate
  • Deliver robust enterprise solutions that solve complex business problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in enterprise application development
  • Hands-on experience developing server-side applications and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
  • Working knowledge of microservices architectures and API design
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, and familiarity with NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB or Cassandra
  • Working knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, JMS, or RabbitMQ
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Experience with JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and web services
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
  • Experience with cloud development and production triage
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Self-starter and quick learner with a strong computer science background
