About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support energy transformation through Sustainable Finance
- Work with senior leadership teams at Power & Utilities clients
- Implement and embed finance improvements and deliver sustainable value
- Co-create strategies that empower CFOs to drive sustainable, long-term business value
- Design future-proof finance operating models meeting reporting, regulatory, and control standards
- Leverage cutting-edge technologies in finance transformation
- Craft business cases for change incorporating financial and non-financial factors
- Lead comprehensive Finance Transformation programs
- Design and improve finance processes
- Design and implement shared services and global business services
- Provide outsourcing advisory
- Support FP&A, finance systems, intelligent automation, financial close, consolidation, and reporting
- Deliver cost management and profitability analysis
- Address procure-to-pay, record-to-report, asset accounting, and project accounting processes
- Apply knowledge of utility billing-to-cash processes via CIS systems and GLs
- Define and execute key deliverables
- Manage project timelines and track progress
- Engage clients regularly, provide insights, and lead working sessions
- Travel 60–80% as needed to meet external client needs, including opportunities to lead teams and drive additional service offerings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree)
- Typically, no less than 2–4 years relevant experience in consulting and the power and utilities industry
- Experience with P&U-specific finance functions and applications such as SAP, Oracle, and Power Plan
- Business case development
- Digital strategy
- Finance compliance and regulation awareness
- Finance quality, maturity, efficiency, and operational risk assessment
- Finance strategy, operating model, and transformation roadmap experience
- Finance sustainability
- Proficiency in business case development and digital strategy
- Awareness of finance compliance and regulation
- Ability to assess finance quality, maturity, efficiency, and operational risk
- Expertise in finance strategy, operating model design, and transformation roadmaps
